For some it was like going back in time. Sometime in the 1950’s, raising their right hand and taking an oath. Only this time, it wasn’t Boston Police Academy, District Two, Milk Street, it was the New Boston Police Headquarters, One Schroeder Place in Boston. The men taking the oath weren’t being sworn into the police department but were being sworn in as the recently elected officers of the Retired Boston Police Officers Association. These brave men, twelve in number, represented over three hundred and fifty years of combined police experience.
